It’s day Two and we are still weeping over Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam‘s demise. We are already missing him and his inspiring words. But rather than becoming sad we feel that we should be saluting him for his work.
The World renowned sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik on Tuesday created a sand sculpture at Puri Sea Beach paying tribute to Late Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam, who passed away on Monday evening at Shillong. The sand sculpture carries the message “Tribute to A Common Man, Missile Man, Bharat Ratna, People’s President”.
Earlier Srijan Pal Singh shared his story about his last meet and journey with Late Dr. Kalam on 27/07/2015.
Late Dr. Abdul Kalam was the 11th President of India who held the post from July 25, 2002, to July 25, 2007.
Remembering his association with Late Dr. Kalam, Sudarsan said he was the first President who had invited him to Rashtrapati Bhawan in 2005 and encouraged to carry on the sand art. He said Late Dr. Kalam had given him a cheque of Rs 3,000 from his personal account at that time to continue his work.
“Look at the sky. We are not alone. The whole universe is friendly to us and conspires only to give the best to those who dream and work” – Late Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam.
