Former President Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam on Monday was admitted to a private hospital in Shillong in Meghalaya in a critical condition. He collapsed while delivering a lecture at IIM-Shillong.

Born on 15 October 1931, Dr. Kalam, 83 years old, suffered a cardiac arrest at a function in IIM-Shillong.
Dr. Kalam was the 11th President of India who held the post from July 25, 2002, to July 25, 2007.
We will miss you, Dr. Kalam! You were an inspiration to us! Rest In Peace!
P.S. – I remember back in 2012 when I met him in an International Convention. It was an honor to hear him live! Such a great mind with great enthusiasm!
